Do I invest more in my website or a blog and social media?

In response to a question I’ve been asked several times recently.  I’ll start with a short story. Bristol is a large city in south-west England where the market place for local newspapers and listings magazines is therefore considerable.  However, last month the main weekly ‘listings’ magazine for promoting city events decided they were going to quit after two more publications.
