Websites
The purpose of a website should be first and foremost to benefit the site user, not the site owner by use of fancy artwork and functionality acrobatics. The temptation to produce an ‘all singing and dancing’ website is one that good developers resist, for sound reasons.
If content is King, then site structure is his castle. A website needs to provide a uniform user experience across different browsers and platforms, whether on PC, Mac, Ipad, or the range of mobile phones which can now be used to browse the internet. Perhaps the most important benefit for users is fast loading pages, simple navigation and content that delivers information clearly and in plain English.
